clay is a variation of ceramic tile. It is fired at higher
temperature and produces a finer, harder tile

variety of limestone consisting of calcite. Durable material
in a dry atmosphere and low-medium traffic

Technically,
not a marble. It is serpentine, which has magnesium silicate,
not calcium silicate (like marble).It
is not acid sensitive and scratch resistant

Named
also as Nero Marquina, this is a very soft limestone often
mistaken as a marble.
Not
recommended for interior flooring but good as a decor material

deep red in color and left unglazed.
Low-cost
still beautiful solution, ideal for flooring, can be used
outdoors, even in freeze-thaw areas. Practical choice
Terra-Cotta
Mode
of unrefined natural clay fired at very low temperatures.
Because they require little equipment or energy to produce,
most is produced in Mexico
Not
expensive and rustic hand-made charm. Low density and high
water absorption dictate frequent sealing
Mosaic
Made
from different types of clay with color pigments added so
the color goes all the way through the tile

for almost any surface because they are hard, resist moisture
